day
explodes dogs
an
alarm clock whimpering
for
feeding at the door
rising
blood pressure climbs
a
yawn for more oxygen
pushes
eyes open and fingers out
to
feel air but not see it
feeling
I know it is
hiding
between here and ceiling
perched
inside itself
satisfied
with its cloak
enough
not to peek at me
today
but then
the
dogs howl for food again
